I love the Marvel Universe and all of the movies that have come out in the past decade. The one familiar note that is still funny to me is the lack of undercover awareness shown by the characters. All they use is a pair of shades and a baseball hat when people are looking for them. Clearly not the best disguise but it always seems to work, so I guess if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it.
To this day I still believe Saving Private Ryan is the most captivating and powerful portrayal of WW2 and the opening scene of D-Day will forever be known as cinematic history in my opinion.
Used Paint to create the spaceship, pretty straightforward with the dark sky background and the stars formed by existing shapes in the “Paint” program. The body of the spaceship was also formed by the existing shapes that I had to form together by using the eraser.
The design work was really interesting this week, I think I just became addicted to that Netflix show Abstract, even though I was dreading watching it at first, towards the end it was hard to put the remote down. I will defiantly finish up the series this weekend. It was fascinating to hear other artists process when it came to designing their own material and all of the hard work/trail and error that comes to working out the finished product. I again took the chance to think more about my secret agent character and what characteristics he might have when creating the word cloud. I found that when coming up with material it was easy to find inspiration when walking around campus this week. The weather was perfect and I was able to take a really nice picture of Lee Hall. It was a fun week working with this material, I will look forward to seeing what everyone else came up with this week
